This masterclass may be helpful if…
PCOD, cycle irregularity and fertility concerns rarely have a single cause. If any of these describe where you are right now, this session was built with you in mind.
- Your periods are irregular or delayed.
- You have PCOD/PCOS.
- You are unsure whether you are ovulating.
- You are trying to conceive.
- You have PCOD with weight concerns.
- You have lean PCOD and feel your concerns are overlooked.
- You want to understand insulin resistance and metabolic health.
- You want to improve your fertility nutrition.
- You are tired of crash diets.
- You are confused by contradictory PCOD advice.
- You want sustainable lifestyle changes.
- You want to understand your body before simply trying another diet or supplement.
Fertility is multifactorial and may require evaluation of both partners. This session is about understanding your body clearly — not about blame or quick fixes.
A 60-second look at the masterclass
"Are you struggling with PCOD, irregular periods or wondering whether you are ovulating regularly? Maybe you are trying to conceive and you have been told to simply lose weight, stop eating carbohydrates or start taking multiple supplements. PCOD and fertility are more complex than that. I'm Dt. Sindhu Bhairavi, a Clinical Dietitian and PCOD & Fertility Expert. In this masterclass, I'll help you understand how your menstrual cycle, ovulation, metabolic health, nutrition, sleep, movement and stress can connect. This is educational guidance — not a promise of pregnancy or a replacement for your medical care."
The old way, and a more considered way
Most PCOD advice online treats every body the same. A root-cause approach starts from your cycle, your metabolism and your context.
Obsessing only over weight
Understand individual cycle patterns
Crash diets
Build balanced nutrition
Extreme carbohydrate restriction
Support metabolic health
Generic diet charts
Improve insulin sensitivity through appropriate lifestyle measures
Ignoring ovulation
Observe ovulation appropriately
Depending only on period-tracking apps
Track cycles meaningfully and consistently
Random supplements
Correct confirmed nutritional gaps appropriately
Treating every PCOD case identically
Personalize the plan
Looking for quick fixes
Coordinate nutrition and medical/fertility care when necessary
The Fertility Cycle Transformation Framework
Understand → Identify → Correct → Track → Transform
Understand
Understand your menstrual cycle, hormones, metabolism, symptoms and body signals.
Identify
Identify factors that may be affecting cycle regularity, ovulation, metabolic health and fertility.
Correct
Work on nutrition quality, insulin sensitivity, appropriate correction of nutritional deficiencies, movement, sleep and stress.
Track
Track menstrual cycles and signs of ovulation rather than depending only on assumptions or app predictions.
Transform
Build sustainable habits and an individualized fertility-health plan.
The three things we'll unpack together
Each one replaces a common assumption about PCOD and fertility with something more useful — and something you can actually act on.
Decode Your Cycle
Common mistake: assuming that having a period automatically means ovulation is occurring normally.
We'll cover the basic menstrual-cycle phases, why ovulation timing can vary, why PCOD can cause delayed or absent ovulation, and why ovulation is not always on Day 14. Your period is only one part of your fertility story — understanding ovulation gives you a much clearer picture.
Practical action: begin recording Day 1, cycle length, variations and relevant ovulation signs.
Build Your Metabolic & Nutrition Foundation
Common mistake: trying to fix PCOD only through weight loss, carbohydrate elimination or random supplements.
We'll look at balanced meals, protein and fibre, meal quality and consistency, metabolic health, insulin sensitivity, appropriate assessment of nutritional deficiencies, and why lean PCOD also deserves clinical attention. PCOD nutrition is not about eating less — it is about giving your body a more supportive nutritional and metabolic environment.
Practical action: review meal balance, protein, fibre, meal consistency and known nutritional gaps.
Create an Ovulation-Supportive Lifestyle
Common mistake: looking for one food, supplement or quick fix to "balance hormones."
We'll cover movement and resistance exercise, sleep routine, stress management, cycle awareness, ovulation tracking and when professional evaluation is important. Hormones work as a network, and sustainable daily habits help support the environment in which that network functions.
Practical action: choose one nutrition, movement, sleep and stress habit to improve consistently.

What you'll better understand by the end
An educational walkthrough of the cycle, metabolic and lifestyle factors that shape PCOD and fertility health.
Your cycle and ovulation
Why PCOD may affect periods, ovulation and fertility; menstrual-cycle phases; and why ovulation does not always occur on Day 14.
The hormones involved
Insulin and insulin resistance, androgens, FSH and LH, estrogen and progesterone — and why thyroid and prolactin issues can also affect cycles.
Metabolic health and nutrition
PCOD and metabolic health, lean PCOD, nutrition foundations, protein and fibre, meal consistency, nutritional deficiencies and responsible supplementation.
Lifestyle and tracking
Movement, resistance training, sleep, stress management, ovulation tracking, fertility cycle tracking — and when to seek medical or fertility evaluation.
Six pillars behind the framework
Nutrition and lifestyle support work alongside — never instead of — appropriate medical and fertility care.
Understand Your Body
Know your cycle, symptoms, history and fertility goals.
Improve Metabolic Health
Support glucose regulation and insulin sensitivity through nutrition, movement, sleep and appropriate medical care.
Correct Nutritional Gaps
Assess diet quality and appropriately address confirmed or clinically relevant nutritional deficiencies.
Support Ovulation
Track cycles and seek appropriate evaluation when ovulation remains irregular or absent.
Manage Stress & Sleep
Build routines that support recovery and sustainable behaviour change.
Personalize Your Fertility Plan
Lean PCOD, overweight PCOD, irregular cycles, infertility and associated medical conditions may require different approaches.
Stop taking random "PCOS supplements"
Some women may have inadequate intake or nutritional deficiencies that deserve appropriate correction. Depending on clinical history and professional assessment, nutrients that may require attention can include:
- Vitamin D
- Vitamin B12
- Iron / ferritin
- Folate
- Other nutrients based on dietary intake, symptoms and laboratory findings
Supplements should be selected considering:
- Dietary intake
- Medical history
- Symptoms
- Laboratory results where appropriate
- Pregnancy plans
- Current medications
- Professional guidance
Women trying to conceive should discuss appropriate preconception supplementation, including folic acid, with their healthcare professional.
Are you actually ovulating?
Do not depend only on a calendar prediction.
Possible ways of observing or confirming ovulation may include:
- Menstrual-cycle tracking
- Cervical mucus changes
- Urinary LH ovulation predictor kits
- Basal body temperature patterns
- Appropriately timed serum progesterone when ordered
- Ultrasound follicular monitoring when medically indicated
A note on PCOD
LH predictor kits can sometimes be harder to interpret in women with PCOD because baseline LH patterns may differ. Clinical guidance may be helpful when cycles are very irregular or conception is delayed.
The Fertility Cycle Tracker — what to record
Tracking is meant to improve awareness — not create anxiety or obsessive monitoring.
Period Day 1
First day of full menstrual bleeding
Cycle length
Days from one Day 1 to the next
Variation
Changes in cycle length month to month
Bleeding
Duration and unusual changes
Cervical mucus
Fertile-type changes
Ovulation tests
Dates/results when used
Sleep
Approximate duration and quality
Movement
Walking / exercise / resistance training
Stress
Simple self-rating
Nutrition
Meal consistency and major patterns
Symptoms
Acne, hair changes, cravings and other relevant symptoms
A 90-day roadmap you can follow
A 90-day approach can help establish stronger health behaviours and foundations. It cannot guarantee PCOD reversal, regular ovulation or pregnancy within a fixed timeframe.
- Days 1–30
Understand & Reset
Menstrual history, regular balanced meals, protein and fibre, consistent movement, sleep routine, appropriate review of relevant medical/laboratory information, and cycle tracking.
- Days 31–60
Correct & Strengthen
Dietary consistency, resistance exercise, reducing sedentary time, correcting identified nutritional deficiencies, stress-management habits, tracking signs of ovulation, and weight goals only when clinically appropriate.
- Days 61–90
Track & Personalize
Comparing cycle patterns, reviewing ovulation evidence, habit adherence, remaining barriers, coordinating with gynecology/fertility care when needed, and creating the next individualized plan.
Five things you've probably been told that aren't quite right
“PCOD means I cannot become pregnant.”
PCOD can interfere with ovulation, but many women with PCOD conceive naturally or with appropriate lifestyle and/or medical fertility support.
“I need to completely eliminate carbohydrates.”
Carbohydrate quality, quantity, overall meal balance and individual metabolic needs matter more than extreme restriction.
“If I lose weight, everything will automatically be cured.”
Weight management can be relevant for some women, but PCOD management also involves metabolic, reproductive, nutritional and lifestyle factors.
“Only overweight women can have insulin resistance.”
Lean women can also have PCOD and metabolic abnormalities.
“One supplement will balance all my hormones.”
No single supplement replaces appropriate assessment, nutrition, lifestyle and medical care.
